VETERAN-LED EMERGENCY DISASTER RELIEF

Bringing Help.
Leaving Hope.

Veteran-led emergency disaster relief, connecting needed supplies with people who need them when it matters most.

How We Help
OBOG relief supplies staged outside a white building while people organize and distribute water and boxes.

HOW WE HELP

The right supplies. The right people. The right time.

When an emergency hits, knowing what people need is only the beginning. OBOG brings together identified needs, available supplies, and the people and logistics required to move help forward.

01

Identify the Need

We start by understanding what is needed, where it is needed, and who needs it.

02

Match the Supplies

We connect each identified need with available supplies and relief resources, helping ensure the right items are ready to move where they’re needed.

03

Move Help Forward

We coordinate the people, places, and transportation needed to move matched supplies toward the people and communities that need them.

The system will help OBOG match requested items with available supplies and coordinate the hubs and resources involved in getting those items ready to move.

03

Move the Response

The system will help OBOG coordinate assignments and follow delivery progress, keeping matched supplies moving efficiently toward the people and communities that need them.

04

Follow the Request

The system will give requestors a clear way to follow the status of their request as it moves through review, coordination, and delivery, helping them understand where things stand.

ABOUT OBOG

Built to serve the needs of devastated communities and individuals.

Ryan McClymonds at a mountain relief site with a utility vehicle, another worker, and the surrounding mountain community behind him.

Operation Boots on the Ground began forming in September 2024, after Hurricane Helene devastated communities across western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. Founder Ryan McClymonds felt a stirring in the back of his mind—something he couldn’t ignore. That stirring grew into a calling to go where help was needed, and to help as many people as he possibly could. What first began as a direct response to one disaster grew into a larger mission to serve communities and individuals affected by emergencies.

That mission became Operation Boots on the Ground Inc., formally incorporated in North Carolina on November 27, 2024. Today, OBOG is a veteran-led 501(c)(3) emergency disaster relief organization focused on connecting needed supplies with communities and individuals affected by emergencies.
